About the Instructor: Dennis Fain, FCC(SW) USN (Ret.)

That would be me... I retired from the U.S. Navy in December, 2000 (link to the ceremony) as a Fire Controlman Chief Petty Officer (CPO). At that time, I was the Branch Head and Senior Instructor for a number of technical courses at Fleet Training Center Electronics School, Norfolk, VA (now part of Naval Personnel Development Command), including the Navy's Fiber Optics Maintenance and Repair Course (CIN: A-670-0063).

I also taught Miniature/Microminiature (2M) Electronics Repair involving circuitry and components so small that the work is often performed under a microscope, and I provided training for Army, Navy and Marine Corps personnel in computerized electronic troubleshooting and repair utilizing the AN/USM-646 & AN/USM-674 Test/Diagnostic Systems for Module Test and Repair (MTR) Stations.
